A stainless steel liner nested within the scales forms the basis of the knife's high-strength compression locking mechanism and secures its wide-base four-position pocket clip.

But this model has perfect ergonomics: the FRN handle is slightly thicker than the ordinary handle, the edges are rounded, the hand position is natural, the grip is good and not offensive anywhere. The VG-10 blade is large enough for everyday use and holds securely with a compression lock. I found one of my best EDCs there. With smaller tips, do not tighten the stop pin screw or the blade will be harder to open; instead, add a drop of Loctite to stop them.
